The progressive cavity pump works according to the principle of displacement. The design of the rotor and stator are decisive for the functional principle of the progressive cavity pump. The rotor of the pump displaces the liquid in the fixed stator by means of an eccentric rotary movement. Thus, the medium is conveyed constantly and with low pulsation from the pump inlet to the outlet.

The processing of water and wastewater in industrial and commercial applications, such as those carried out by municipal utility companies, is one of the areas of application for progressive cavity pumps.
Progressive cavity pumps are particularly well suited for the production of food and beverages due to their constantly low pressure levels. Due to the eccentric rotary motion, media can be conveyed gently. This is advantageous, for example, when conveying shear-sensitive components in yoghurt products, which are thus preserved.
Progressive cavity pumps are characterised not only by their ability to pump large quantities of liquid, but also by their extremely precise metering. This feature is particularly important in the chemical and petrochemical industries. It enables the exact dosing of ingredients that must be contained in a defined concentration in the end product.
NOV Mono provides a progressive cavity pump with an extended inlet cross-section and feed screw specifically for conveying spent grains. Thanks to this feed element, it is possible to efficiently convey abrasive and highly viscous media with a dry matter content of up to 85%.
Contact in Switzerland and Europe
Ateliers Ehrismann has been ensuring the highest manufacturing quality at its site in Switzerland since 1923. Together with our strong partner the AxFlow group of companies, we are represented not only in Switzerland but throughout Europe.
Individualization is our strength
Ateliers Ehrismann has one of the most modern workshops in the field of electrical engineering and metal construction. Customer orders can thus be designed to meet all individual requirements.
Certified several times
The outstanding manufacturing quality is certified several times. We can manufacture and repair process equipment, for complex and highly sensitive industrial applications. Our quality management continues to constantly optimize the processes in the areas of purchasing, manufacturing and service management in order to remain the first point of contact in Switzerland and Europe in the future.
The EZstrip series allows all rotating and sealing components to be serviced while installed. This feature significantly reduces the time required for servicing.
Progressive cavity pumps from Mono can reliably pump media in a temperature range from -10° to 140° Celsius.
NOV Mono offers two options for transmitting power to the rotor. The gear joint reduces the overall length of the pump, but at the same time leads to increased wear due to the larger number of moving components. The FlexiShaft, on the other hand, is a flexible connecting component between the drive and the rotor and does not require any moving components at all.
